CORPORATE PLAN:

Although illness is the greatest cause of days off work, it is frequently used as an excuse by employees taking time for personal errands and issues.  Today life is hectic - increased work intensity, the stresses of family life, social events, traffic – is it any wonder that employees don’t have the time to get personal tasks done?

Companies recognise the need for effective time management and are ´affected by the unpredictability of workplace absenteeism, which makes it necessary to adjust schedules or to take steps to replace absent workers. In addition, workplace absenteeism increases the company’s costs and hence has a negative effect on the company’s competitive position.´*

If you, as a Manager, haven’t yet considered the extent to which your employees are affected by the struggle to balance work and life, then you may be surprised to learn that:

·                     Office workers use between 10 – 20 per cent of their working day running personal and family errands.

·                     The average employee misses 11.5 working days due to organising personal and family issues, not including sick days.

·                     9 out of 10 employees surveyed reported that consultation and referral services saved them time each month.

·                     33% are more likely to feel supported by their company

·                     44% of workers cited high levels of stress, long hours and inflexible schedules as the causes of conflict between their work responsibilities and personal priorities, and hence as contributors to work-life imbalance.(Belinda Merry, Merrymentality.com)

·                     After domestic duties and work, only 11% of our time is left for leisure activities(ABS ´98)

In our experience the company pays the retainer while the employee pays for the task that he / she requests.

Your time is precious, and so is ours, that is why efficiency is key. Remember! The charge is per hour, not per task, so be sure to arrange to have a number of tasks carried out together.

These rates are a guidel¡ne, however, we will come to your offices and discuss the plan best suited to you and your employees.

·                      * ¨Preventing absenteeism at the workplace¨, European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions.

·                      We guarantee to carry out your request in the shortest timeframe possible. This will depend on the task – posting a letter, for example will be done on that day, arranging to take the dog to the vet may require an appointment. The timeframe for tasks relating to official paper-work ( gestoría, tax office) will depend on the task involved.
